One star only because a "no star" review wasn't an option. It turns out that you can read this for free with Kindle Unlimited, but it's under a different title with a different author. Not sure which author plagiarized which, but if I'm already paying for access to an electronic copy that actually has color photos instead of the book that had black and white photos of the art, why have the knock off copy? Promptly returned once this was realized.

Unfortunately I cannot recommend this book (booklet is a more apt description). I would characterize it more as a glossary than a "how to" book. It has a total of 80 pages - each 5"x4", with lots of white space! Many pages are entirely taken up by one of the black and white photos that have no direct relationship to the topic being discussed around that page and have no explanatory text. The photos are of very poor quality, quite a few are photos of strands of industrially manufactured beads (?!)If like me, you are interested in cane making - this is definitely NOT the book! It has a total of 1 1/4 5" pages on the subject!!

The author presents little information that would allow one to achieve the goal as insinuated by the title of the book. Not worth it.

I love this book. It's beautiful inside and out. The reflections are short, but dead on. The short prayer suggestions are great, too. My favorite part, though, are the quotes that start each reflection. They're showing me other sides of saints I love and introducing me to new ones!

I'm so glad I did!Every morning I grab my coffee and sit in the quiet calm before the kids get up and have my ME time with this lovely book.My soul needed some nourishment and this fits the bill.

When you are in the busy season of life, you may only have little bits of time for prayer - so you need something of real substance to squeeze in. This book fits the bill. With the wisdom of dozens of moms, I can take a few minutes a day to regain perspective, draw closer to God, and tuck some encouragement in my spiritual pocket. This book has been such a joy to read and reflect upon every day. It amazes me how so many of the days in the past 3 weeks (I'm on January 22nd today) have related to me personally. About the Author

Martin E. Franklin, PhD, is Associate Professor of Clinical Psychology in Psychiatry at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, where he is also Director of the Child and Adolescent Obsessive–Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Tic, Trichotillomania, and Anxiety Group. Since the 1990s, Dr. Franklin has conducted research on psychopathology and treatment response in individuals with anxiety and related conditions across the developmental spectrum. He has lectured nationally and internationally on OCD, trichotillomania, Tourette syndrome, and related disorders. Dr. Franklin is also Clinical Director of Rogers Behavioral Health–Philadelphia, where he oversees partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs for anxiety/OCD and depression in youth.   Jennifer B. Freeman, PhD, is Director of Research and Training at the Pediatric Anxiety Research Center at Bradley Hospital and Associate Professor (Research) of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. Her research focuses on child and adolescent anxiety disorders, with particular interests in obsessive–compulsive disorder, cognitive-behavioral family interventions, and developmental psychopathology. Dr. Freeman's current research focuses on dissemination of treatment and training programs for treatment providers in the area of exposure therapy.   John S. March, MD, MPH, is Chief of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Duke University Medical Center.
