About the Author

Carrie Belisle Cole, MA, CCC-SLP, was born and raised in Oregon. From a young age Carrie has been passionate about helping others. She decided she wanted to become a Speech Pathologist at age 17. Carrie completed her masterÂ’s degree in Communication Disorders and Sciences at the University of Oregon in 2001. Since then, Carrie has been practicing Speech-Language Pathology in Portland, Oregon. Her career thus far has been spent at a large not-for-profit hospital system. Here Carrie has had the opportunity to experience outpatient, home health, and inpatient environments. Inpatient care is her passion and she currently splits her time between inpatient medical units and an inpatient rehabilitation facility. Carrie lives with her husband, daughter, and two cats. When she is not working, Carrie enjoys spending time with her family: reading, watching movies, and exploring the Pacific-Northwest.

Amazing therapy materials for the patient with higher level cognitive-linguistic disorders. I work with TBI in inpatient rehab and this book will be a regular item to grab for therapy.

The idea behind this book is excellent but there are many errors which can be confusing to me and my patients.

WAYYYY too difficult for the therapy setting. It is ifficult for most normal adults.

Ms. Cole gives practical strategies for therapists to use with their clients that are from everyday life. Very helpful.

Practical excercises supplemented by web material and forms for patients.

As advertised. A nice addition to my therapy resources.
